A group of 15 students from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh presented their research projects on September 25 at the McNair and Beckman Scholars Showcase. The event was organized to help students gain experience and prepare for future academic and professional opportunities.
Provost Ed Martini commented on the significance of the event, stating, "This event demonstrates what sets UW-Oshkosh apart: undergraduates who are entrusted with meaningful research, faculty who challenge and support them and (the opportunity to) address real-world problems in the communities we serve."
The showcase highlighted undergraduate research as a central part of student development at UW-Oshkosh. Programs such as the McNair Scholars Program provide resources and mentorship to students pursuing advanced study.
More information about these programs can be found through the UW Oshkosh McNair Scholars Program.
