Now Accepting Nominations for Alderman

City Of Menasha issued the following announcement on Dec.13

Are you a Menasha resident living in district 2, 4, 6, or 8? The Clerk's Office is still accepting nominations for Alderman. Don't wait...the deadline to file nomination papers is January 4, 2022 at 5:00pm in the Clerk's Office (100 Main Street, Suite 200 (2nd Floor).

How do I get my name on the ballot?

 1. Live in the district you are running for

  2. Complete the necessary nomination papers:

       - Registration Statement

       - Declaration of Candidacy

       - Complete the top portion of the nomination papers

 3. Collect 20-40 signatures from residents in your district

 4. Return the completed paperwork to the City Clerk's Office

Use the WI Election Commission's handy nomination checklist to ensure you've completed the necessary steps.

When will the election be held?

An election will be held in the City of Menasha, on Tuesday, April 5, 2022. If a primary is necessary (3 or more candidates run for any given office), the primary will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2022.

What is an alderperson's term?

The term for alderperson is two years and begins on Tuesday, April 19, 2022.
