Outagamie County has announced its involvement in the Emmy-nominated series "Uniquely Wisconsin," produced by Discover Mediaworks. This series focuses on the stories of Wisconsin's people and communities, emphasizing economic development, community engagement, quality of life, and tourism.

The county will participate by producing three short-form videos, each up to six minutes long. One of these will be chosen for a four to five-minute segment in a special episode of "Discover Wisconsin." This episode will air once on the Discover Wisconsin Regional Television Network.

Outagamie County is inviting community members to submit story ideas that highlight unique traditions, heritage, and narratives that define the region. Stories can include historical landmarks, community efforts, or cultural traditions. The goal is to spotlight the distinctive aspects of Outagamie County.

"Uniquely Wisconsin" is a sub-series that shares untold stories from across the state. Previous episodes have covered topics like the Wisconsin 9/11 Memorial and cultural preservation efforts. Outagamie's contributions will join this lineup in an upcoming season.

Residents and organizations are encouraged to submit their story ideas by March 21, 2025. Submissions should describe why the story represents Outagamie County and include contact information for follow-up. Ideas can be sent to connect@outagamie.org.

After collecting submissions, Outagamie County will collaborate with Discover Mediaworks to select stories for inclusion in "Uniquely Wisconsin." These stories will then be shared across various media platforms.

"We are thrilled to participate in Uniquely Wisconsin and highlight the stories that make Outagamie County truly special," said County Executive Tom Nelson. "We encourage everyone to share their ideas and help us celebrate the people and places that define our community."
