A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was sent to the Village of Potter in Wisconsin regarding new voter registrations on November 7, 2024. The request was made by Fox Cities News, a media organization committed to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs.
The FOIA request specifically asked for a list of new voters who registered to vote on November 5, 2024. As part of our commitment to transparency and public accountability, we at Fox Cities News believe that access to such public records is essential in fulfilling our professional responsibilities.
Given our role in gathering and reporting news to the public, we have requested a fee waiver as a media professional. This will allow us to continue holding public institutions accountable and provide much-needed transparency for the public.
