FOIA Request to City of Menasha Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.
Fox Cities News, a media organization dedicated to comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, has sent a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., to the City of Menasha. The request was made for a list of new voters who registered to vote on November 5, 2024.
As part of our commitment to holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public, we at Fox Cities News believe access to such records is essential. We have requested these records preferably in an electronic format for ease of dissemination and analysis.
We are actively involved in gathering and reporting news to the public, and this information will aid us in our mission. Given our role in disseminating information, we have also requested a fee waiver as a media professional.
We await a response from the City of Menasha and will continue our efforts in promoting transparency and accountability within local government.
