University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh students gathered at Reeve Memorial Union to learn about the impact of war on Ukrainian college students, many of whom have lost their lives due to the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

The event, titled "Ukrainian Student Stories: Three Years of Russia’s War in Ukraine," is a project by UWO student Vladyslav “Vlad” Plyaka. Plyaka, a sophomore from Rivne, Ukraine, was moved to action after learning that his friend Kostiantyn “Kostia” Yuzviuk, 23, had been killed while serving as a drone operator in Ukraine’s military.

Plyaka, who is double majoring in journalism and political science, organized the exhibition to honor his friend and highlight the ongoing war's impact. The gallery-style exhibition features stories of Ukrainian college students and includes two photo projects and three video stories.
