Registration is now open for the 2025 Björklunden seminars, hosted by Lawrence University's retreat center in Door County. These weeklong sessions, aimed at lifelong learners, are scheduled from mid-June through late October and include more than 35 in-person seminars as well as several online options. The seminars cover a wide range of topics, including history, world politics, literature, and the arts.
“These offerings reflect a broad breadth of learning opportunities that invite you to immerse yourself in fascinating topics and enriching experiences,” said Thomas McKenzie, director of Björklunden. “Each course will generate rich conversation and surface new insights among friends old and new. Join us along beautiful Lake Michigan for a season of discovery.”
Björklunden covers 441 acres along Lake Michigan's shoreline in Door County and features facilities such as a two-story lodge and a handcrafted wooden chapel. The property was bequeathed to Lawrence University by Donald and Winifred Boynton in 1963 to promote educational experiences.
Participants can choose between different lodging options while enjoying the scenic surroundings. The seminars typically start on Sunday evening and conclude on Friday afternoon, with variations available for shorter stays. Meals are provided by Björklunden’s resident chef.
