FOIA Request to Village of Greenville Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.
In a continued effort to ensure transparency and accountability in our local government, we at Fox Cities News have submitted a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., for records of new voter registrations from the recent election held on November 5, 2024.
As a media organization dedicated to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, access to such public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. This includes holding public institutions accountable and ensuring transparency for the public we serve.
We have requested these records preferably in an electronic format for ease of analysis and reporting. Given our role in disseminating information to the public, we believe we are eligible for a fee waiver as a media professional.
Our request is currently pending review by the Village of Greenville. We will continue to update our readers as more information becomes available.
