The Oshkosh Area School District has announced the 2023-2024 Oshkosh Area School District Employees of the Year, with surprise visits to the recipients. A SPOTLIGHT VIDEO was released to capture the celebrations.

The Elementary Employees of the Year are Carla Huizenga, a Grade 1 Teacher at Emmeline Cook Elementary School, and Rachel Tigert, a Grade 2 Teacher at Lakeside Elementary School.

For the Secondary Employees of the Year category, Shayna Reynard, Dean of Students at Oshkosh West High School, and Rick Webster, a Spanish Teacher at Oshkosh West High School, were recognized.

In the Support Staff Employees of the Year group, Emma Hill, Media Assistant at Emmeline Cook Elementary School, and Melissa Schuttenhelm, Media Assistant/Building Assistant at Jefferson Elementary School, were honored.

Sydney Levy, a Science Teacher at Vel Phillips Middle School, was named First-Year Teacher of the Year, while Emily Eisenschink, Principal at Read Elementary School, was awarded Administrator of the Year.

In a statement, the Oshkosh Area School District expressed gratitude to all its educators, leaders, and staff members, acknowledging their dedication and impact on the community. The District congratulated the 2023-2024 OASD Employees of the Year and extended thanks to all employees for their contributions to students, schools, the district, and the community.
