On April 11, 2024, a musical extravaganza is set to unfold as high school students from various districts join forces with Kaboom Collective for a professional concert experience. The collaboration, culminating in a performance alongside indie folk rock trio, The Accidentals, has been a transformative journey for the young musicians involved.

Renee Ulman, Fine Arts Coordinator in the AASD, expressed her enthusiasm for the upcoming event, stating, "It’s so exciting to see two years of planning and preparation coming to fruition in this concert. This is such a great opportunity for our band and orchestra students to get a taste of what the music industry is all about."

Julie Krause, Executive Director of the Appleton Education Foundation, highlighted the foundation's support for the initiative, stating, "Appleton Education Foundation is proud to provide a $10,000 grant to support this innovative learning opportunity for Appleton students. Helping them grow their musical talent and learn about the business aspects of the music industry is a perfect fit for AEF’s mission of creatively enhancing education."

The collaboration with Kaboom Collective has provided students with a holistic educational experience, delving into various aspects of the music industry. From working with recording engineers to understanding music royalties, the students have been immersed in a comprehensive learning environment guided by industry professionals.

The pinnacle of this journey will be the concert where students will share the stage with The Accidentals, a renowned indie folk rock trio known for their captivating performances and musical prowess. The opportunity to perform alongside such established artists is a testament to the growth and dedication of the young musicians.

The public is invited to attend the free concert on April 11, 2024, at the Weidner Center on the UW-Green Bay campus. Additionally, the concert will be live-streamed for those unable to attend in person. Donations to the Appleton Education Foundation are encouraged to support future educational initiatives for students in the district.

This collaborative effort between Kaboom Collective, The Accidentals, and the students showcases the power of music education and industry mentorship in shaping the next generation of musicians.
