UW Oshkosh alumni community is in mourning as several former students and faculty members have passed away in the month of April 2024.
Among those who have recently passed away are Ruth (Thelke) Hart, Richard “Dick” Lanpheer, Joan Nelezen, Richard “Dick” DuMonthier, Keith Folzman, Judith Herrle, David Hilbelink, Leonard Manderfield, Sandra (Tank) Martens, William O’Brien, Thomas Witthun, David Baumann, James Benson, Robert “Bob” Christjohn, Melvin Coonen, Gregory Hollub, Colleen “CoCo” (Batley) O’Brien, John “Steve” Okoniewski, Nancy Van, Kenneth Whitford, David Mairet, Jr., Brenda Sue (Ziegelbauer) Quick, Gregory Walther, and Rebekah Braun.
The list also includes Betsy Omness, a former food service specialist at UW Oshkosh from 2004 to 2023.
The passing of these individuals has left a void in the hearts of their loved ones and the UW Oshkosh community. Their contributions and memories will be cherished by those who knew them during their time at the university.
