Oshkosh families have an extended opportunity to enroll their children in the OASD's free Summer School program, as the registration deadline has been pushed back to 3:30 p.m. on Friday, April 5. The program offers various benefits, including free transportation, meals, and engaging courses for middle schoolers.
According to the OASD, several bus pick-up locations are available for students, providing free transportation to and from the Summer School sites. Additionally, breakfast and lunch are provided for students at all locations except for Carl Traeger.
The Summer School program features a mix of new and returning courses that are designed to keep middle school students interested and excited. Courses such as Painterly Paws, Sign Me Up!, Intro to Middle School Sports, Be a Travel Agent!, Cooking, Spanish, Sign Language, and Creative Crafts are among the offerings this summer.
With many classes still available at all Summer School locations, students have the opportunity to explore and expand their knowledge during the summer break. It is advised to check the Summer School course guides to discover the full range of courses available for incoming K-12 students.
For those interested in enrolling their children in the Summer School program, detailed sign-up instructions are provided by the OASD. Parents can access the instructions through the IC Parent Portal and follow the outlined steps for course registration.
Any inquiries about the OASD Summer School program can be directed to the OASD Summer School Secretary, Shanda McLimans, at 920.424.4092 or shanda.mclimans@oshkosh.k12.wi.us.
As a final reminder, the enrollment period for all music and athletic camps remains open until June, providing further opportunities for students to engage in extracurricular activities during the summer months.
