Oshkosh public schools will be closed Wednesday, April 3, 2024, due to bad winter weather conditions. This closure will impact different school levels in the Oshkosh Area School District (OASD).
According to the district's announcement, middle and high school students will have a Digital Learning Day on Wednesday, April 3. Students at these levels are advised to log in to Canvas for their coursework at 9 a.m. However, elementary schools and Oshkosh Early Learning will have a No School Day, with no virtual learning activities scheduled for the day.
In addition to classes being canceled, all before- and after-school activities, as well as programs offered by the Oshkosh Recreation Department, are also called off for Wednesday, April 3.
A schedule change has been implemented for high schools due to the PreACT Testing. With the closure on Wednesday, the PreACT testing for freshmen and sophomores has been rescheduled. The new high school schedule for the week is as follows: a digital learning day for all high school students on Wednesday, April 3, in-person PreACT testing for freshmen and sophomores on Thursday, April 4, and a digital learning day for juniors and seniors on the same day. Finally, on Friday, April 5, all high school students will resume in-person classes.
