City Dog Licenses Due by March 31, 2022

Chilton City - WI recently issued the following announcement.

Per City of Chilton Municipal Ordinance Code 6.07 dog licenses are required for any dog kept within the City of Chilton that is more than five (5) months of age on January of any year, or five (5) months of age within the license year. License year commences on January 1 and ends the following December 31.  Owners must show proof of current immunization against rabies before issuing the owner a license for the dog.

Licenses can be obtained from City Hall - Treasurer, 42 School St., Chilton, WI 53014.

  • Spayed or Neutered Dog - $3.00 each
  • Unspayed or Unneutered Dog - $8.00 each
  • Or one-half of these amounts if the dog becomes five months of age after July 1 of license year.
  • Licenses needs to be obtained prior to April 1 of each year or within 30 days of acquiring ownership of a licensed dog otherwise the Treasurer shall assess and collect a late fee of $5.
