Rep. Ron Tusler, a Republican serving Wisconsin's 3rd House district since 2017, recently used his social media platform to highlight legislative achievements by state Republicans, particularly in the areas of tax relief and public safety.
On September 23, 2025, Tusler posted about recent changes affecting retirees: "This July, legislative Republicans passed a budget exempting up to $48,000 of retirement income from state taxes. After a lifetime of paying in, Wisconsin retirees deserve this well-earned tax break."
The following day, he focused on measures aimed at improving public safety in Wisconsin. On September 24, 2025, he wrote: "WI Republicans’ budget puts public safety first: 40+ new ADAs increased public defenders' staff office of school safety funding support for victims of crime. Safer communities & stronger justice."
On September 25, 2025, Tusler addressed broader fiscal policy impacts of the latest state budget: "Republicans stood up for taxpayers this July. Our budget reduces taxes by nearly $1.5B and blocks $3.7B in hikes proposed by the Evers-Rodriguez administration. We will continue fighting for more relief for Wisconsin families, workers, and seniors."
Tusler has represented the state's 3rd House district since being elected in 2017; he succeeded Alvin Ott in that role.
