Senator Rob Hutton highlights National Police Week and supports Gold Star families

Senator Rob Hutton recently shared a series of tweets highlighting various events and legislative activities. The posts, dated May 15 and 16, 2025, reflect his appreciation for law enforcement officers, support for Gold Star families, and recognition of local sports achievements.

On May 15, Sen. Hutton acknowledged "#NationalPoliceWeek" and "#PeaceOfficersMemorialDay". He expressed gratitude towards law enforcement personnel by stating: "Thank you to all the men and women of law enforcement for your service and sacrifice and keeping our communities safe."

The following day, on May 16, he mentioned his involvement with Senate Bill 38 in a tweet. He noted that "Yesterday I spoke about SB 38, which waives the license plate personalization fee for Gold Star families." The bill's passage coincides with the upcoming Memorial Day as a tribute to those who have died serving the country. He remarked that this initiative is "a timely way to honor the sacrifices of those families."

Later on May 16, Sen. Hutton recognized local athletic achievements within his district. In another tweet he stated: "On Thursday the Senate recognized three championship basketball teams from the 5th Senate District - Wauwatosa East, Wauwatosa West, and Wisconsin Lutheran - all of whom won state championships this year." This acknowledgment was directed at celebrating their success as each team made their community proud.
