Sen. Rob Hutton, a Republican representing Wisconsin's 5th Senate district, recently shared updates on social media regarding ongoing recovery efforts in southeastern Wisconsin following severe flooding.

On September 5, 2025, Hutton posted, "While the news of recent flooding that devastated communities in SE Wisconsin has dissipated, the cleanup still remains." In a subsequent tweet on the same day, he described his involvement with local residents: "Recently, I spent time with homeowners in Milwaukee removing water damaged debris from basements."

Hutton also highlighted the role of nonprofit organizations in assisting affected families. He wrote on September 5, "One of many organizations that making sure homeowners affected by flooding are not forgotten is @SamaritansPurse, a nonprofit dedicated to helping people get back on their feet."

Hutton was elected to the Wisconsin State Senate in 2023 and succeeded Dale Kooyenga as representative for the state's 5th Senate district. His public engagement reflects ongoing concerns about disaster response and community recovery efforts in southeastern Wisconsin.
