This week marks Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week, observed from May 5 to May 9, 2025. It is a time dedicated to acknowledging the significant contributions of educators and staff members within schools and districts.
A video montage has been created this year, showcasing students expressing their gratitude and sharing stories about the positive impact teachers and staff have had on their lives. The video is titled "OASD Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week 2025 Video."
The celebration extends beyond classroom teachers to include bus drivers, cafeteria workers, counselors, custodians, and administrators. Each plays an essential role in fostering a supportive educational environment.
The community is encouraged to participate by sending heartfelt emails or notes to staff members who have made a difference. Children can create drawings or cards for special individuals at school. Additionally, sharing positive stories or memories or simply saying "thank you" during drop-off or pick-up times are suggested ways to show appreciation.
