The University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh is set to host its 60th Midyear Commencement on December 14. Approximately 700 students are expected to participate in the ceremony, which will take place at 10 a.m. at Kolf Sports Center, located at 785 High Ave., Oshkosh. Degrees ranging from associate to doctorate levels will be awarded during this event.

Daisy Wilson from Weyauwega will address her fellow graduates as the class speaker. Wilson is completing her bachelor's degree with dual majors in biology and psychology, along with a minor in chemistry. During her time at the university, she contributed significantly by developing safer organic chemistry lab procedures and conducting research on plastic biodegradation through the McNair Scholars program. Post-graduation, Wilson plans to attend medical school with an aim to specialize in trauma surgery.

William Morrison, an assistant professor in the finance department within the College of Business, will deliver the commencement address. Morrison is known for directing the Student Managed Endowment Fund (SMEF), which involves students managing a portfolio exceeding $1 million to support scholarships and student development at UWO. He also serves as a faculty adviser for both the Finance Club and the CFA Institute Research Challenge competition.

The commencement ceremony will be available via livestream for those unable to attend in person. This midyear event not only celebrates those completing their programs this fall but also acknowledges summer semester graduates, expanding the UWO alumni community beyond 110,000 members.
