FOIA Request to Village of Harrison Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.
Fox Cities News, a media organization committed to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, has submitted a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., for records of new voter registrations that occurred on November 5, 2024.
We believe that access to these public records is essential in fulfilling our professional responsibilities as journalists. Our role includes holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public. As such, we have requested these records preferably in an electronic format for ease of dissemination.
Given our role in disseminating information to the public, we have also requested a fee waiver as media professionals. We firmly believe that our work plays a vital role in keeping the public informed about their government's actions and decisions.
