No garbage or recycling collection on Independence Day

OSHKOSH, Wis., – The city of Oshkosh Sanitation Division would like to remind residents that due to the City’s observance of Independence Day, there will be no garbage or recycling collection on Tuesday, July 4, 2023. 

Collections for the remainder of the week will be one day later. Garbage and recycling collection scheduled for Friday, July 7 moves to Saturday, July 8. Regular services will resume on Monday, July 10. 

Additionally, the City’s yard waste drop-off site located on W. 3rd Avenue (between Idaho Street & Ohio Street) will be open on Saturday, July 1, and Sunday, July 2. The drop off site will be closed for the holiday on Tuesday, July 4. The drop off site will reopen on Wednesday, July 5. 

Residential curbside brush collection for July will take place on the regularly scheduled garbage collection day the week of July 10 through July 14.
