The University of Wisconsin—Oshkosh Alumni Association’s board of directors has elected eight new members, who began their service on July 1. The 20-member volunteer board aims to foster connections among alumni, students, and the university.

The newly elected board members include Forrest Buck from Chippewa Falls, director of career development & first-year experience at Chippewa Valley Technical College; Zoe Dahse from Vienna, Austria, associate project officer for the United Nations International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA); Jessica (Zemlicka) Lund from Oshkosh, a marketing specialist at WIDA, UW-Madison; and Oceana Martinez from Waupaca, compliance coordinator with Noble Community Clinics.

Other new members are Karen (Knudson) Stepanek from Oshkosh, an enrollment manager at Arizona State University; Aaron Prater from Fox Point, chief operating officer of Tri City National Bank in Milwaukee; Steven Steinert from Waukesha, a forensic psychologist at Behavioral Consultants, Inc. & The Wisconsin Forensic Unit; and Joy Wick from Wrightstown, community relations and development manager at Fox Valley Technical College. Wick stated her intention to “help grow the great pride UWO alumni have and raise awareness for the great education I received.”

Additionally, three members were re-elected: Joe Ackerman of Appleton as VP of commercial lending at Co-Vantage Credit Union; Teresa (Parker) Kajian of Oshkosh as owner of Crossroads Technical Consulting LLC; and Nate Michael of Oshkosh as director of operations at Plexus Corp.

The officers for 2025-26 are Melanie Cross as president, Jenny Damask as vice president, and Terleen Cheslock as secretary/treasurer.

Members who completed their terms include Melissa Hunt ’05; Kevin Jaklin ’85 and ’95 MBA; and Estefania Mulvey Videla ’09. Board meetings are held on the Oshkosh campus. Membership is open to all enthusiastic members of the Alumni Association through a nomination process with three-year terms.
