The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh is preparing for its annual Titans Day of Giving, set for September 12, 2025. This event coincides with the anniversary of the first day of classes at Oshkosh Normal School in 1871.

Chancellor Manohar Singh has called on alumni, students, faculty, staff, and community partners to participate in this 24-hour online fundraising effort. “Sept. 12 is not just a date in our history—it’s a day that reminds us who we are and where we came from,” Singh said. “It’s a day to wear black and gold proudly, to reflect on the impact this university has made, and to invest in its future.”

The Giving Day campaign allows donors to contribute any amount to areas of the university they care about most. Funds can be directed toward scholarships, sustainability initiatives, athletics programs, or academic departments. All donations go directly toward enhancing the student experience at UWO.

“This is more than a fundraising effort,” Singh emphasized. “It’s a community moment. When you give to UWO on Titans Day of Giving, you show that you believe in the transformational power of education. You’re helping us shape tomorrow’s leaders, researchers, entrepreneurs and professionals. And you are investing in the development of talent that helps communities throughout and beyond the Fox Valley region grow and thrive.”

Last year’s event exceeded its goal; organizers hope to achieve similar success this year by encouraging participants to share their stories and memories connected with UWO.

Supporters are also encouraged by Chancellor Singh to promote participation through social media channels and personal outreach. Donations can be made securely throughout September 12 via the university’s official Giving Day website.

“Every gift counts. Every story matters. Every Titan has a role to play,” Singh said. “Let’s come together and celebrate the past while fueling our future. Go Titans!”
