The Oshkosh Area School District (OASD) is providing a final opportunity for families and community members to collect free keepsake bricks from the former Merrill Elementary and Middle School building. The event will take place on Tuesday, June 10, from noon to 2 p.m. at the OASD Maintenance Building, located at 1404 S Main Street.

This distribution will be conducted in a drive-up style. Participants are instructed to enter via E 14th Avenue and exit through Pioneer Drive. Unlike previous events, there will not be a restriction of one brick per person. However, individuals interested in obtaining a large number of bricks may be asked to return at the end of the distribution period to ensure availability for all community members.

A total of 1,000 bricks were harvested and cleaned from the most historic part of the building for this community distribution. Additionally, some bricks have been preserved for the Merrill Memorial Corner currently under construction at the former Merrill site.
