He encouraged efforts in Wisconsin to "unleash innovation by cutting red tape—rules that micromanage everything from family farms to backyard Airbnbs." He concluded by stating, "Let’s trust people, not unelected regulators. It's time for a #RedTapeReset!"

On the following day, May 2, 2025, Tusler referenced a study from the Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty, stating that the state is losing $68 billion in potential economic growth due to overregulation. Tusler argued that a "Red Tape Reset" could significantly benefit the state, asserting that a "40% cut in red tape" might "unlock that growth." Later on May 2, 2025, Tusler commented on concerns surrounding Governor Tony Evers, who allegedly instructed his employees to refuse compliance with federal warrants, a move which Tusler suggests might be seen as obstruction. Tusler tweeted, "Our Governor, Tony Evers, is worried he will be arrested for telling his employees to refuse to comply with federal warrants. Which could be obstruction. Do you think he should tell his employees that?"
