Two ThedaCare skilled nursing facilities have been recognized as Best Nursing Homes for 2025 by U.S. News & World Report. Juliette Manor and Peabody Manor achieved a "High Performing" rating, the highest possible, for Short-Term Rehabilitation. This recognition is based on U.S. News' proprietary assessment of consistent performance in quality measures.

Lisa Nebel MSPT, DPT, Vice President of Post-Acute with the ThedaCare Clinically Integrated Network, expressed gratitude: “We are grateful to the residents and their families who trust us with their health and well-being.” She also acknowledged the commitment of team members in delivering personalized care: “The high success rates support our goals of providing comprehensive care to those who need short-term rehabilitation, and safely transitioning them home.”

Both facilities operate as 24-hour Medicare-certified Skilled Nursing Facilities with licensed nurses and certified nursing assistants available around the clock. Services provided include skilled nursing care, comprehensive therapy services, custodial care, memory care, as well as palliative and hospice care.

Juliette Manor and Peabody Manor offer long-term or short-term skilled nursing care and rehabilitation services in private rooms located in neighborhood-like settings. This arrangement provides privacy while encouraging socialization.

“Our care teams at both Juliette Manor and Peabody Manor provide interdisciplinary discharge planning to transition patients safely to the next level of care to optimize recovery and prevent readmission,” said Nebel. She emphasized collaboration with other providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Since 2009, U.S. News’ annual Best Nursing Homes ratings have guided American families seeking short-term rehabilitation or long-term care options. For 2025, nearly 15,000 nursing homes were evaluated on factors like infection rates; staffing levels; reliance on antipsychotic drugs; health inspection results; among other quality indicators.

U.S. News' methodology involves evaluating each facility's performance using data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The ratings consider resident care safety outcomes along with nurse staffing levels and use of antipsychotic drugs.
