UW Oshkosh alumni achieve notable milestones across diverse fields

The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh has shared updates on the achievements and milestones of its alumni. The Class Notes for November 2024 highlight various individuals who have made significant contributions in their respective fields.

Larry Didlo, a 1963 graduate, participated in Old Glory Honor Flight’s Mission 69 alongside fellow Army veterans. John Gerdener, who graduated in 1971 and later earned an MBA in 1979, was honored with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award for his career as a CPA.

Phil Whitebloom, from the class of 1980, authored a book titled "Handling Objections-Clues for Closing the Sale," aimed at helping sales professionals improve their closing skills. Kaye Tallier, a 1986 alumna, announced her retirement after serving as the girls' tennis coach at Streator High School for 28 seasons.

Mike Heller, class of 1987, hosts "The Mike Heller Show" on Appleton and Oshkosh's WSCO radio station. Wendy DeMore Monson retired after a long teaching career but continues to work with Journey21.

Tim Kramer owns Northway Productions and has been involved in professional production since graduating in 1991. Jeffrey Haase serves as a family court judge in Oneida with extensive experience in law practice.

Donovan Heavener runs PNW Polygraph Services after retiring from law enforcement. Scott Jennings holds a senior position at Associated Bank Private Wealth following a lengthy tenure at BMO Global Asset Management.

Cullen Rudew is the assistant director of student services at Stanford University's School of Engineering. Melissa Moore works as a registered nurse with ThedaCare and participates actively in long-distance running events.

Jordan Eiting leads teams at Forward Service Corporation to aid employment through case management. Irineo Medina was recognized among Wisconsin's influential Latino leaders by Madison365 and works within the Appleton Area School District.

Renee Smith is now chief medical officer at Security Health Plan of Wisconsin. Hleeda Vang contributed to "A Career in Student Affairs," highlighting her role as a bilingual success coach at UW-Green Bay.

Grace Burdick coordinates marketing efforts for the Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce. Samantha Garvey manages operations for Jefferson County Fair while Magdalyn Gosz pursues medical studies at Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine.

McKenzie Kalscheuer balances roles as marketing coordinator at Insight Creative Inc., fan engagement assistant for the Green Bay Packers, and Emily Grober teaches special education within Kaukauna Area School District.
