The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh has released a list of alumni who passed away in recent months. The names span several decades, reflecting the long history and diverse community of the institution.

Among those from the 1950s are Delmer “Del” Dieck (EHS) ’59, who died on August 20, 2024, in Scandinavia; John Lau (LS) ’59, who passed away on April 2, 2024, in Columbia, Pennsylvania; Ronald Stearns (LS) ’58 and (LS) ’60, who died on August 27, 2024, in Argyle; and Bonnie (Gibson) Wolfgram (EHS) ’54, who passed away on August 21, 2024, in Oshkosh.

From the 1960s cohort: Karen (Dohr) Goodwin (LS) ’69 died on September 26, 2024, in Port Washington; William McAloon (EHS) ’65 passed away on August 29, 2024, in Oshkosh; Janette Meverden (EHS) ’66 died on August 15, 2024, in Green Bay; Joan (Keener) Schunke (EHS) ’63 passed away on August 17, 2024, in Antigo; and Robert “Bob” Snyder (LS) ’65 died on August 24, 2024, in Fond du Lac.

The list also includes alumni from the '70s: James “Jim” Braun (B) '74 died on June 28, 2024. He was from Oconto. Ursula Weiss Galonski (EHS)'71 passed away on August 10th this year in Green Bay. Clyde Holmes(LS)’79 from Wautoma passed away recently too - September15th precisely . Dennis Reitz(B)’76 shared his passing date with Bob Snyder - Aug24th but hailed Fond du lac instead , Stephen Roemer(Ehs)'71 lived until end last month-Aug31st exactly & Jackson represented him . Finally Adrian Shaw(B)'70 ended life at Pompano Beach Florida mid-september14th

For those whose memories stretch back into more recent years: Lawrence Balda(B)’84 Oshkosh resident till he breathed final breath- Aug17this year , Richard Schuchart(B)'81 Menasha based met same fate just before next day Aug28th

Faculty member Dr Leonard Tews served as professor biology between period ‘64-‘96 is noted to have departed April10 earlier .
