The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh has announced the passing of several alumni in September 2024. The list includes graduates from various decades, each remembered for their contributions and connection to the university.
From the 1960s, Douglas Bohn (B) ’69 of Oshkosh passed away on August 1, 2024. Carole (Street) Engels (EHS) ’69 from Gills Rock died on August 5, 2024.
In the 1970s cohort, Joseph Bisciglia Jr. (EHS) ’70 of Kenosha passed on August 2, 2024. James Braun (B) ’74 from Oconto died on June 28, 2024. Robert Doll (B) ‘74 of Waukesha passed away on May 14, 2024. Eleanor “Ellie” Holman (MSE) ’71 from Fond du Lac died on June 30, 2024. Thomas “Tom” Weingarten (MBA) ’77 of Stevens Point passed away on July 30, 2024.
Among the alumni from the 1980s are Randy Peiffer (EHS) ’84 of Eau Claire who died on July 18, 2024 and Lisa (Umland) Underwood (LS) ’84 from Combined Locks who passed away on August 5, 2024.
The university also mourns those from the class of the '90s: James “Jim” Hardie (LS) ’94 of Green Bay who died on May 23, 2024; Michael Miller (B and LS)’96 from Wausau; and Susan Scott (MSE)’91 of Sturgeon Bay who passed away on July16th ,2024.
From the early '00s cohort Diana “Deedee” Zarzyski(N)’04of Ripon who died on July31st ,20l24is remembered.
