The Oshkosh community is invited to celebrate and experience Oshkosh’s brand-new public elementary school. A public dedication and community open house for Menominee Elementary School will take place on Sunday, September 22 from 4 - 6 p.m.

The celebration will feature a dedication ceremony starting at 4 p.m. in the cafeteria at Menominee Elementary School (915 Hazel St, Oshkosh, WI 54901). Following the ceremony, the school will be open for self-guided tours.

Open house events for Menominee Elementary students and parents/guardians will take place in late August. These events will provide incoming families with the opportunity to tour the school and meet with teachers and school staff. These events are not open to the general public. Additional information was shared with families via emails and announcements from the school.

Menominee Elementary School will open its doors for the 2024-2025 school year, uniting the former Merrill, Washington, and Webster Stanley Elementary School communities. This innovative facility features flexible learning spaces, a media center with an adjacent makerspace, and a gymnasium, all designed to foster creativity and collaboration. Overlooking Lake Winnebago and situated across from Menominee Park, the state-of-the-art school also includes a community room and leading-edge safety systems, providing a secure and inspiring environment for learning.

Funded as part of the $107 million capital referendum approved by voters in November 2020, Menominee Elementary School marks the completion of the first phase of the District's four-phase long-range facilities plan.
