Henry “Butch” Blanke, a 1979 graduate of the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, has emerged victorious in the unofficial Yahtzee World Championship. Blanke, from Black Earth, defeated Lori Rooker, a 1980 alumna from Sheboygan. The tournament has its roots in Clemens Residence Hall nearly five decades ago.
Edward Cancio, who graduated in 1980 and again in 1987 with a Master of Science in Education, has been recognized in Marquis Who’s Who in America. Cancio is an associate professor at the University of Toledo and has dedicated over 15 years to special education. His career spans more than four decades, with significant contributions to research on stress and burnout among special education teachers.
Gwen Weithaus, a 1994 graduate from Menomonee Falls, currently serves as chief compliance officer for Cetera Investment Services. With over three decades of experience in financial services, Weithaus was previously vice president of wealth risk and controls at Northwestern Mutual.
Mike Mathy, who graduated in 2002, is now the executive director of the Ohio Physical Therapy Association. He previously held the position of executive director at both the Ohio Foot and Ankle Medical Association and the Federation of Clinical Immunology Societies.
Troy Youngbauer, a 2004 MBA graduate from Neenah, has been promoted to chief operations officer for Galloway Company. Youngbauer brings two decades of experience from his tenure at Kimberly-Clark Corporation to his new role after serving seven years as senior director of operations at Galloway.
Kyle Tomlinson (2012) and Mya Guttenberg (2019), both graduates residing in Sun Prairie, were married this July.
Beth O’Laire, a 2015 MBA graduate from Oakfield, is now vice president of human resources operations for McLeod Health. Previously she was the market chief human resources executive with Ascension in Milwaukee.
Kathryn Golab (2016), a clinical laboratory scientist from New Berlin, presented her findings on surprise diagnoses in hematology at the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science joint annual meeting held in Pittsburgh.
Kyle Resch (2016), hailing from Whitelaw, is currently principal of Valders Elementary School.
Aarron Van Buren (2017) from Kalamazoo, Michigan has taken up the role of head coach at D1 Training Kalamazoo after serving as strength and conditioning coordinator at Gobles High School.
Payton Lehnherr (Campbell), a 2019 graduate from Hortonville working as workforce development coordinator for the Greater Oshkosh Economic Development Corporation. Lehnherr also operates RISE Volleyball Labs and serves as a Girl Scouts leader after spending five years working in county mental health and justice treatment fields.
