Teresa Schoffelman, an experienced communications executive, has joined Lawrence University as Associate Vice President of Communications and Marketing. As the university’s chief communications strategist, Schoffelman will lead the marketing and communications team, oversee brand development, and collaborate with leaders across the university to enhance enrollment- and advancement-related programs. She will report to Christyn Abaray, vice president and chief of staff.

Commenting on her appointment, Schoffelman said, “I am truly honored to join Lawrence University. I look forward to working with faculty, staff, students, and alumni to fuel advocacy for this outstanding institution as it thrives into the future.”

Schoffelman brings nearly 30 years of experience to Lawrence. She most recently served as Senior Vice President and Director of Corporate Communications for Associated Bank from its Green Bay headquarters. Prior to that role, she served as Corporate Marketing Manager with American Medical Security, now UnitedHealth Group.

“The combination of Teresa’s extensive marketing and communications leadership experience and higher education life experience as a child of a former small private university president resonated with those in our community,” Abaray said. “Her leadership will strengthen our mission of providing the transformational Lawrence education into the future.”

Schoffelman is a member of the Schreiber Institute for Women’s Leadership at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and the Dudley Birder Chorale at St. Norbert College.
