City Of Appleton recently issued the following announcement.
Spring Yard Waste Pickup 2022
Date:
04/18/2022 - 05/13/2022
The curbside yard waste pickup will begin on Monday, April 18 and will continue for 4 consecutive weeks through Friday, May 13, 2022.
During the spring collection, everything needs to be packaged and placed on the terrace as we pick everything by hand. No raking into the street. This pickup is for branches, brush, twigs, garden debris, leaves, dried flowers, perennials, etc. Just be sure to follow the guidelines.
We will collect the yard waste on the day following your regular garbage day from the terrace. See chart below for specific dates.
Spring yard waste must be in containers, lawn and leaf paper bags or tied in bundles.
This would include leaves on the terrace from last fall.
Containers should have handles, be 33 gallons or less and weigh less than 45 pounds when full.
Paper lawn and leaf bags can be purchased at most hardware stores and home improvement centers.
Branches and brush must be cut to 4 foot lengths and bundled with twine. Bundles must be less than 2 feet around and weigh less than 45 pounds. Max branch width is three-inch diameter.
No plastic bags, boxes, tarps or 55-gallon fiber barrels or their liners.
