Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on July 15
The mission of Bazaar After Dark® is to draw positive attention to underutilized business districts in the Fox Cities through a welcoming, family-friendly street market event. It is critical that these events provide a safe and healthy environment for the estimated 8,000 event-goers and volunteers who attend each night market. After thorough discussion and upon reviewing the latest public health guidance, we have made the difficult decision to further postpone both 2020 Bazaar After Dark® night market events due to concerns related to large gatherings amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
Out of concern for the safety and wellbeing of our attendees, vendors, musicians and volunteers, we have determined that the safest course of action is to reschedule the events to 2021. Bazaar After Dark®, an event of the Fox Cities Chamber, will make its way to downtown New London on Saturday, June 5, 2021 and will later embark on the streets of Neenah on Wednesday, July 28, 2021.
“This was not an easy decision nor one we took lightly,” shared Becky Bartoszek, President & CEO of the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce. “While we’re disappointed to not be able to celebrate in these communities in 2020, we felt this was the optimal decision for the health and safety of all involved.”
Bazaar After Dark® continues to focus on fostering community collaborations through art, music and common experiences and will be back with refreshed events next year. Please stay tuned to the Bazaar After Dark® Facebook page or the Fox Cities Chamber website for additional information as it becomes available for the 2021 night market events.
