City of Oshkosh issued the following announcement on June 11
After much consideration it has been decided to cancel the 2020 Live at the Leach Amphitheater Tuesday Night Concert Series sponsored by Verve, a credit union due to concerns regarding COVID-19. The decision was made after reviewing guidelines from the Winnebago County Health Department, CDC, and other health agencies regarding group gatherings..
“This was a difficult decision to make as our concert series has seen significant growth in attendance the past few years and we know how much live music is enjoyed by the community. Similar to other recent cancelations announced, we could not support events where hundreds of people could gather at this time,” said Ray Maurer, Parks Director.
The city of Oshkosh remains in the middle of a health emergency. Coronavirus COVID-19 is very contagious and can be deadly. The cooperation and help of the general public is needed to make sure that we as a community maintain the progress we have made to mitigate the spread of this disease. Our top priority is to protect the health and safety of our community. The city of Oshkosh encourages its residents and businesses to continue following safe and healthy practices to protect the entire community.
