Senator Rob Hutton (R-Brookfield) has issued a statement regarding the ongoing severe weather and flooding affecting the Milwaukee region. In his message, he acknowledged the efforts of emergency responders who have been working continuously to address the situation.

“Our entire community is grateful for the round-the-clock work of our emergency responders during this severe weather and flooding.

“I am keeping in touch with local leaders and I commend them for their rapid local response. At the state level, we stand ready to help in any way and with whatever resources are needed. Please contact my office if you need assistance at 608-266-2512.

“The work of emergency crews is ongoing, many areas remain unsafe, and more rising waters may be coming. Avoid unnecessary trips and please join me and Patti in prayers for the safety of everyone in our region.”

Hutton was elected as a Republican to represent Wisconsin’s 5th Senate district in 2023, succeeding Dale Kooyenga.
