Chancellor Andrew Leavitt and Clash the Titan, the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh’s mascot, recently visited Fifth Ward Brewing Co. as part of the Universities of Wisconsin’s #MascotsOnMain tour. This event aimed to celebrate the successes of UWO alumni and to highlight the ties between the university and the local community.
Fifth Ward Brewing Co. was founded by Ian Wegner and Zach Clark, who met at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh during the 2010s. Their interest in craft beer transformed into a business, supported by the Small Business Development Center and the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at UWO.
The Universities of Wisconsin acknowledged the achievements and contributions of alumni through this initiative.
